Sacrament of Holy Baptism
The word sacrament means “sacred moment.” It is an outward sign of an inward and spiritual grace.
It is a special moment – a holy moment – when human beings come in contact with the Divine.
United Methodists celebrate two of these special sacraments, baptism and communion,
because Jesus participated in them during his lifetime.
The baptismal symbol of water is essential to life, always cleansing and renewing our spirit.
We celebrate baptism of infants and adult believers. With every baptism, the congregation
welcomes the newly baptized person as a brother or sister in Christ.
Baptism celebrates each life and recognizes the special ways in which we,
as Christians, seek to live with one another and share God’s love with all people.
If you are interested in having a member of your family baptized, please call Pastor Lori at (507) 220-3557
